Hello and welcome to this page. This page is dedicated to helping those students with exceptional learning needs. Here you will find practical strategies for adapting, enhancing, or modifying your instruction for students. The page has been made by Rob Nelson, Anthony Tyrkala and Mohammad Rahman who are enrolled in the Secondary Education

Master's Program at the College of William and Mary under the Social Studies discipline. They have highlighted ten different exceptionalities that teachers may face when dealing with students throughout their teaching and found resources that teachers can apply to their teaching.

The following strategies are necessitated under the Universal Design for Learning Banner (UDL). "These are a set of principles for curriculum development that give all individuals equal opportunities to learn. UDL is structured around providing a blueprint for creating instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments that work for everyone--not a single, one-size-fits-all solution but rather flexible approaches that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs."
